Rottweiler Life Span

The rottweiler life span is longer in the kennel than in rescues. The breed was used as a cattle driver and a guard. There is a legend that says that in 1905 there was but one Rottweiler left in the town of Rottweil. Only thanks to the real lovers of the breed the dog survived up to nowadays and became very popular. These dogs were also called the butcher dogs and as the rail transportation became the primary means of bringing cattle to market, these dogs were used less frequently. Nowadays, the dogs are used as guards and pets. They are naturally born guards. The rottweiler life span is longer in the kennel than in rescues. Puppies of this breed are very cute, playful and intelligent, but some of them turn into fierce, dominating and territorial dogs. If left alone for a long time, a puppy becomes bored and uninterested. Such dogs tend to develop bad habits.
